After SSH successfully SSH, we continue with step 2 to start the process of changing the DirectAdmin download server.

Step 2: Execute commands to change DirectAdmin download server

These commands perform relatively simply and fast as follows:

cd /usr/local/directadmin/custombuild
./build set_fastest
./build update
    

Explanation of the above commands:

• Command 1: Move into custombuild folder.
• Command 2: Change the DirectAdmin download server to the server for the best speed.
• Command 3: Update custombuild script.

As you can see in the picture above, after checking my VPS, I see the download speed of the serverfile-sg.directadmin.com is the server with the fastest download speed. So my VPS self-regulates downloadserver about this server.

In addition, if your current download server is failing, you can completely change it manually by editing the options.conf file by the following command:

cd /usr/local/directadmin/custombuild
vi options.conf
    

You just need to change the download server URL path at the downloadserver: line, then save it.
