How to change WordPress password

In the process of customer support, a few customers asked about the problem of changing their WordPress site password, so today AZDIGI would like to write a short tutorial on how to change this.

Step 1: Login to your website admin page

If you have not installed WordPress for your website, you can refer to the following instructions:

To change your WordPress site password, you need to log in to the website admin page first, usually, the default path will be one of the following paths:

• yourdomain.vn/admin
• yourdomain.vn/wp-admin
• yourdomain.vn/wp-login.php

Remember to change your domain name to ” yourdomain.vn ” because the above is just an example.

Step 2: Access the profile editing interface on WordPress and change the WordPress password

Once you have logged in to your WordPress dashboard. You move the mouse over your current name in the upper right corner of the screen, as shown below.

Next, click Edit My Profile.

After entering the profile editing interface, you need to find the “Account Management” section and select “Create a password”.

After selecting Create a password, WordPress will suggest you use a strong password. However, you can change this password according to your needs. AZDIGI doesn’t recommend that you set a password that is too easy, Brute Force attacks will easily exploit the website. After you have set a password that is difficult enough, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Update Profile.

However, if you still want to use a simple password, you need to do an additional step to confirm using a simple password as shown below and finally click Update Profile.
