With an old DirectAdmin system, you are most likely using Custombuild (CB) version 1.1 or 1.2, this should not be a big problem if you do not want to upgrade any services in the Directadmin system, but once you want to update the software, it is imperative to upgrade to Custombuild 2.0 (Upgrading to CustomBuild 2.0).
To check the version of CustomBuild you are using, you can go through the following guide:
Step 1: To upgrade to version 2.0 with all default configurations, we follow these commands
cd /usr/local/directadmin mv custombuild custombuild_1.x wget -O custombuild.tar.gz http://files.directadmin.com/services/custombuild/2.0/custombuild.tar.gz tar xvzf custombuild.tar.gz cd custombuild ./build
With the above commands, default configuration files will be created.
Step 2: At this point, the default profiles will be created. If you want to use all default settings, skip stepping 3. If you want to keep all your previous customization configurations then continue with step 3.
Step 3: Record old configuration after upgrading custombuild version
./build rewrite_confs
So you have completed the Custombuild version upgrade.
Wishing you success!
