Domain Validation (DV)
The CA only verifies control of the domain and asks for no organisation paperwork. Suitable for blogs, personal sites and small projects.
Extended Validation (EV)
The highest validation level; the CA checks the organisation's legal records and writes them into the certificate. Company documents are required.
Wildcard SSL
Covers same-level subdomains of one domain in the form *.domain.ltd, such as blog.domain.ltd and shop.domain.ltd. It does not cover the root domain domain.ltd itself.

Under Ballot SC-081, passed by the CA/Browser Forum in April 2025, the maximum validity of each TLS/SSL certificate issuance has been reduced. This is a global change that applies to every SSL provider (Sectigo, DigiCert, GeoTrust, GlobalSign and others) — it is not specific to AZDIGI.
How AZDIGI handles it
- The service term (your billing cycle on my.azdigi.com) stays at 1 year (365 days).
- The certificate validity for each issuance is 199 days under the new rule.
- Within a one-year term the certificate is issued twice (up to 398 days of coverage).
- AZDIGI reminds you to reissue at no cost before the certificate expires, so HTTPS is not interrupted.
There is no extra charge — reissuing is free and included in the SSL service at AZDIGI.

Per the CA/Browser Forum's Ballot SC-081 (international body including Google, Apple, Mozilla, Microsoft and major CAs), maximum TLS/SSL certificate validity per issuance is now 199 days. This is a global change affecting all SSL providers worldwide — not specific to AZDIGI. AZDIGI's service cycle remains 1 year (365 days), during which the certificate will be issued twice (total 398 days of coverage). Our system will automatically remind you to reissue for free before the certificate expires — no additional cost.
DV only verifies control of the domain, so no organisation paperwork is needed. EV requires the CA to review the company's legal records and writes the organisation details into the certificate. The difference lies in the validation level and the organisation data inside the certificate; choose based on the identity you need to show and the documents you can supply.
Choose Wildcard when you need to cover several same-level subdomains of one domain, such as blog.domain.ltd, shop.domain.ltd and mail.domain.ltd — one certificate serves them all instead of buying one each. Note that the scope is *.domain.ltd and does not include the root domain domain.ltd itself; add a separate certificate if you need the root domain covered too.
After choosing a plan and paying, you generate a CSR, pick a validation method such as Email, HTTP/HTTPS or DNS CNAME, then complete the CA's request. Once the CA issues the certificate, you download it, install it and verify HTTPS on your site.
The certificate is validated and issued by the Certificate Authority behind the product you register. AZDIGI provides the registration service and supports the process; AZDIGI does not issue the certificate itself.

AZDIGI's SSL plans state unlimited certificate reissues. When moving to another server you need to keep the matching certificate and private key, or perform a reissue following the product's instructions. Contact support for a check before changing a system already in production.
Under the SSL service terms updated on 31 December 2025, a refund request must be submitted within 10 days of registration and applies only when the certificate has not been validated, due to a mistaken order or an inability to validate. Requests after 10 days fall outside the scope of this policy.
